Tango Porteño On Pier 16,
7pm - Midnight, Tango Lesson at 8:30pm. We dance between Skippers Seaport Café 212-349-1188 or 1000 & The Historic "Peking" Famous Frieghter, That is part of South Street Seaport Museums collection of actual moored ships.
Every Sunday May-September
With Sunshine - On Pier 16, or "RED" Restaurant, 19 Fulton Street
During inclement conditions
as Rain or other Activities on Pier 16 or 17 it is at "RED".
(in the Seaport Commons Square Area, other side of the overhead FDR highway from the Piers)
NOTE: As of this summer we have to charge a $5 donation fee to support this event.
This is the 10th Year for this non profit locally created tango event.
By car:
From West Side, George Washington Bridge, Lincoln and Holland Tunnels,
take West Street southbound.
Follow the signs to FDR Drive. Take underpass,
keep right - use exit 1 at the end of the underpass.
Turn right on
South Street and go six blocks. From East Side, take FDR Drive south
to exit 3 onto South Street. Proceed on South Street about 1 mile.
By subway:
Take A,C,2,3,4,5,J,M or Z to Fulton Street /or Broadway
- Nassau (watch the station names) Then Walk East on Fulton Street to the Sea
Port. The 6 Train goes to Brooklyn Bridge - walk
east towards Water ST/South ST, the River/Sea Port itself.
By bus:
Take M15 (South Ferry sign) down 2nd Avenue to Fulton Street.
